About the Artist

As a “native” South Carolinian, life in “The Lowcountry” has deeply influenced Judith's artistic endeavors in her paintings and photographic works. A deep appreciation of the magnificence and natural beauty of the area is displayed in her paintings of waterfowl, landscapes, marsh, and ocean scenes from the area.

During most of her adult life, Judith has had a passion for perfecting her skills in paintings that will be enjoyed by others for many years in the future.

Judith formalized her art study at the University of South Carolina Beaufort, where her talent earned the “Best in Show” award at the university’s annual art show. Judith feels that art is a never ending pursuit and she has attended numerous classes to continue to refine her skills as a painter.

As member of the Society of Bluffton Artists (SOBA) and the Art League of Hilton Head (ALHH), Judith’s work is regularly displayed at the SOBA and ALHH Galleries and in several Bluffton and Hilton Head Island area business establishments. Collectors recognize her paintings of waterfowl and Lowcountry scenes.

While proficient in watercolor and oil, most of Judith’s recent works are acrylics, which she feels allow her to capture luminous skies, glowing marsh grasses and gleaming waterways in their natural beauty.

Judith continues to mentor emerging artists and contribute to regional exhibitions, enriching the arts landscape of the South Carolina coastal areas.
